Avery Amereau is an American operatic mezzo/contralto who made her professional debut at the Metropolitan Opera in 2016. She has since performed at major houses and festivals including Bayerische Staatsoper, Santa Fe Opera, Glyndebourne and the Salzburg Festival, and released a solo Handel arias album with the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra that received strong critical notice. She studied at Mannes and the Juilliard School and has received awards and fellowships supporting early-career opera singers.
