Christopher Rountree is an American conductor and composer who founded and serves as artistic director of the Los Angeles chamber collective wild Up. He has led major ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony, Colorado Symphony and Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and has collaborated on premieres and interdisciplinary projects with prominent contemporary artists. His work with wild Up has drawn wide critical acclaim, institutional residencies, and a GRAMMY nomination for a Wild Up recording.
