Formed in 1987, Cubensis is a long-running Grateful Dead tribute act that has performed thousands of shows across the western United States. The band has been joined onstage by former Grateful Dead members Vince Welnick and Tom Constanten and won the Dead Covers Project in 2012 for a performance of "Sugaree." They maintain a large archive of live performances (many available via archive.org and their website) and regularly play medium-to-large venues throughout the Southwest.
