Rashida Gonzalez Robinson (DJ Rashida) began DJing in 1998 and gained major exposure after Prince noticed her at the House of Blues in Los Angeles in 2004, which led to a decade-long collaboration including touring and televised appearances. She served as the on-set DJ for MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, was named one of the 'DJs for Obama' during the 2012 campaign, and works as a creative director/curator for brands, museums and cultural events.
