Dream Warriors were formed in 1988 and became an award-winning Canadian hip-hop duo comprising of King Lu and Capital Q. They were major contributors to the jazz rap movement of the late 1980's and early 1990s. Hailing from Jane & Finch in Toronto, the pair of deft, intelligent rappers released their 1991 debut album on 4th & B'way/Island Records UK, And Now the Legacy Begins. This album is considered one of the finest alternative hip-hop albums of the golden era. The album was critically acclaimed and sold well in Canada, the United Kingdom, all across Europe and Asia, before becoming an underground hit in the United States.
