Emanuel Ax (born June 8, 1949) is a Polish?American pianist who has built an international career as a soloist and chamber musician, notably as a longtime duo partner of cellist Yo?Yo Ma. He won the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in 1974, has received multiple Grammy Awards for chamber recordings, and serves on the Juilliard faculty.
