About
Born in 1983 in Locarno, Piemontesi trained with teachers such as Alfred Brendel, Murray Perahia and Alexis Weissenberg and made his concert debut as a child. He has an active international career as a soloist and chamber musician, records for major classical labels (including Pentatone), and has received distinctions such as BBC Music Magazine’s Best Newcomer (2012) and the Swiss Music Prize (2020). He has served as artistic director of the Settimane Musicali di Ascona.
