iO Theater is proud to announce the return to Chicago of acclaimed comedy company Recent Cutbacks with their hit film parody Hold On To Your Butts for seven performances, starting May 19, 2023.
Hold On To Your Butts is a “shot-for-shot” parody of Jurassic Park, performed by just two actors and a live foley artist. Running at one hour, Hold On To Your Butts is a physical, imaginative, and hilarious theatrical version of everyone’s favorite dinosaur movie.
Hold On To Your Butts was created by Recent Cutbacks. Kristin McCarthy Parker directs the show, which stars Dinah Berkeley and Natalie Rich. Full casting to be announced at a later date. The creative team also includes Nick Abeel (Co-Creator), Kyle Schaefer (Co-Creator) and Kelsey Didion (Co-Creator, Foley Design).
Hold On To Your Butts has been a runaway hit in New York City since its premiere in 2014. Time Out New York named it the #3 Comedy of the Year. The show is returning to Chicago for the third time. Don't miss out!
