James Douglas Muir Leno (born April 28, 1950) is an American comedian and television host best known for hosting NBC's The Tonight Show from 1992–2009 and again from 2010–2014. He created and hosted the automotive series Jay Leno's Garage and has written about and showcased his extensive car collection; he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame and his Tonight Show earned multiple Emmy Awards. Leno remains active as a touring stand-up comedian.
