Nobuo Uematsu is a Japanese composer and keyboardist best known as the primary composer for the Final Fantasy video game series. He joined Square in the 1980s, later founded the Dog Ear Records label and has led performance groups such as The Black Mages and Earthbound Papas to perform arrangements of his works. His music has been presented worldwide in orchestral and concert tours and he is widely regarded as one of the most influential video game composers.
