Venezuelan trumpeter Francisco “Pacho” Flores (born 1981) trained in El Sistema and is a prizewinner of the Maurice André, Philip Jones and Città di Porcia international competitions. He has served as principal/lead trumpet with ensembles including the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, is an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist with multiple recordings (Cantar, Entropía, Fractales, Estirpe), and founded the Latin?American Trumpet Academy. Flores regularly premieres and commissions new works by Latin American composers and performs worldwide at major concert halls and festivals.
