Shabaka (Shabaka Hutchings) is a British saxophonist, composer and bandleader who leads Shabaka and the Ancestors and formerly fronted Sons of Kemet; he has also been a member of The Comet Is Coming. He launched the Native Rebel Recordings label and has received awards and major nominations, including a MOBO Award with Sons of Kemet and the Paul Hamlyn Composer Award.
