Formed in 1992, Sweet & Tender Hooligans are a long-running Smiths/Morrissey tribute led by frontman Jose Maldonado, noted for his Morrissey-like delivery. They have played venues and festivals across the US, Mexico and the UK and received coverage from outlets including NPR and NME. The group was named a 'Best Cover Band' by LA Weekly and regularly performs full-album tributes and headline club and theatre shows.
