Formed in 2018 by two sisters, their cousin, and a friend, the Linda Lindas broke through after a May 2021 Los Angeles Public Library performance of "Racist, Sexist Boy" went viral. They signed to Epitaph Records that month and released their debut album Growing Up on April 8, 2022; "Racist, Sexist Boy" won Best Punk Record at the 2022 Libera Awards. Since then the band has toured widely, played Coachella (2023), and released a follow-up album, No Obligation, in 2024.
