In early February 2026, Love will release his seventh studio album, Throw My Shadow To The Sun. Self-produced and recorded by Reverend Baron at The Ladder Factory in East Los Angeles, the album captures raw, unfiltered energy—channeling moody grooves, gritty textures, and Love’s unmistakable croon into a cohesive, emotional ride. The sessions brought together an all-star live band: Josh da Costa (drummer for Drugdealer), Brent Randall (Vanity Mirror), Davey Chegwidden (percussionist for De La Soul, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Too Short), Jeremy Brian Gill (saxophonist for Curtis Harding), Daniel E. Garcia (Reverend Baron) on lead guitars, and multi-instrumentalist Laena Myers (White Fence, Orville Peck, El Mariachi Bronx) on violin.
From the hypnotic sway of “Underneath It All” to the reverb-drenched sax of “Forever Feels” and the heavy sludge-rock smash of “Setting Sun,” the album draws from the lyrical storytelling grooves of Dire Straits, the laid-back bluesy touch of JJ Cale, and the timeless melodic drama of Roy Orbison, creating a distinct late-night rock ’n’ roll vibe.
