Goldenvoice is returning to the grounds of Coachella in late 2026, this time without the rock bands, the bubblegum pop stars, and the influencers who spend more time planning their outfits than listening to the music. The entertainment giant behind the iconic event has announced a new electronic music festival, Head Trip, scheduled to take over its same venue in Indio from October 10-11.
Billed as a one-time-only occasion at the Empire Polo Club, the festival features an astonishing lineup. Calvin Harris tops Saturday’s bill, which also includes b2b sets from FISHER and Chris Lake (performing as their Under Construction alias) as well as Peggy Gou paired with Four Tet and Seth Troxler alongside Ben Sterling. Sunday will bring Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Dom Dolla b2b KETTAMA, The Blessed Madonna and DJ Harvey.
One of the more distinctive elements of the weekend is its production philosophy. Head Trip will operate on a single stage with no overlapping sets, a format that runs counter to the multi-stage programming typical of large-scale EDM festivals. Production design comes from Romain Pissenem, founder of the Parisian creative studio High Scream, which developed the production behind Ibiza’s famed [UNVRS] club as well as Tiësto’s momentous 2025 performance within Egypt’s legendary Giza pyramid complex.
The event will also feature the US debut of the Sunflower Sound System, designed by the renowned electronic music artist Floating Points. Housed inside a dome tent with acoustic panels made from mycelium and decorated with tapestries commissioned by Josephine Chime, the system uses 10 speaker stacks arranged “to create an immersive, unparalleled sonic experience,” according to a press release issued by Goldenvoice. Floating Points will perform there throughout the weekend alongside special guests.
