Christina Catherine Martinez has been described by PBS as “a bewitching hybrid of stand up, clown, and performance artist” and “a polymath of unquantifiable largesse” by BOMB Magazine. She’s been named a "Comedian You Should Know" by Vulture, "A Comic to Watch" by TimeOutLA, and is a recipient of an Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant. Her 2024 comedy special *How to Bake a Cake in the Digital Age* was named "A Special You Should Definitely Watch" by New York Magazine.
Christina has written for *The Eric Andre Show* and the animated series *Women Wearing Shoulder Pads*, the first ever Spanish-language show on Adult Swim. In addition to her theater and television work, Christina has performed commissions for The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Art Toronto, REDCAT Center for the Performing Arts, The Geffen Contemporary, the Spit Take Comedy Series in Minneapolis, the SXSW Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the Netflix is a Joke Fest in Los Angeles. Her book of essays on art and comedy, *Aesthetical Relations*, is published in a revised and expanded edition by Hesse Press.
