Dingbat is the collective brainchild of creative thinkers Henry Baskin, Dash Goss-Post, Tyler Johnson, and Matthew Wilson. The formation of the group was decided upon their initial meeting in 2008 when, on a spiritual retreat at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram in Allahabad, India, the three discovered a shared mutual interest in the mid-century-esque architectural forms of 1950s suburban Los Angeles. Dingbat is credited as the originator of the “Dingbat sound”, a distinct blend of pop, rock, and new jack swing. Perhaps Dingbat’s music can best be described in nine words: “We make music for people who live in apartments”. https://linktr.ee/dingbatliketheapartment
