**Iguana Death Cult**
Iguana Death Cult’s latest chapter sees the Rotterdam outfit digging into themes of hardship, self-doubt, and life in an increasingly chaotic world. At the same time, the band reconnects with the punk and garage-rock energy that first defined them. Driven by Tobias Opschoor’s razor-sharp guitar work, Rennert’s relentless drumming, Jimmy de Kok’s groove-heavy basslines, and Jeroen Reek’s raw, heartfelt vocals, the result feels both urgent and deeply personal.
Since forming in 2014, Iguana Death Cult has grown from a group of friends making noise together into an internationally touring band. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with acts like Osees and Frankie and the Witch Fingers, supported Jack White, and appeared at festivals including SXSW, Levitation, and Desert Daze.
Their new album, \*Guns Out\* (Greenway Records), is a return to direct, hard-hitting garage rock. Across the record, the band tackles themes of escapism, mental pressure, personal growth, and creative renewal with honesty and intensity. Equal parts tough and reflective, \*Guns Out\* captures a band embracing change while trying to make sense of the world around them.
