Winner of the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize, Radu Ratoi travels worldwide, attracting
the public with his musicality, technique, and charisma. In 2024 Ratoi was appointed
as a soloist with the National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova. With his transcriptions
of J. S. Bach, D. Scarlatti, J. P. Rameau, F. Liszt and many more, he has reinvented
and improved the accordion repertoire.
Praised for his originality, versatility, and virtuosity in the classical and contemporary
repertoire, Ratoi describes the accordion as "an instrument with almost unlimited
possibilities.”
