About

A defining moment in music history—reimagined for the stage.

In August 1969, more than 400,000 people gathered in Woodstock, New York, for the legendary Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music. Over the course of three unforgettable days, artists including Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Joan Baez, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Santana, and The Who gave voice to a generation and shaped the cultural landscape of the era.

With their acclaimed “Story Concert” format, Back to the Garden brings Woodstock to life through meticulous, note-for-note recreations, enriched by evocative storytelling and archival imagery that capture the spirit and significance of the festival.

The program also includes a bonus section dedicated to Monterey ’67, the groundbreaking festival that helped spark the “Summer of Love,” with music from Simon & Garfunkel, The Mamas & the Papas, The Byrds, Ravi Shankar, Jimi Hendrix, and the Grateful Dead—offering a broader glimpse into the sounds that defined the 1960s.
