Alamo Drafthouse Downtown LA features 12 screens for new release, family, and independent films, as well as Alamo Drafthouse's unique signature repertory programming. Auditoriums will be equipped with the highest quality Sony 4K digital projection. State-of-the-art bi-amplified QSC digital audio systems provide full range multi-channel fidelity for faithful reproduction of audio soundtracks. One auditorium is also equipped with a reel-to-reel 35mm projector system. Each 35mm print is treated with the utmost care and respect from our professional projectionists.
In addition to the superior AV equipment, the layout of each auditorium has eliminated the traditional front row, ensuring there is no bad seat in the house. Furthermore, Alamo Drafthouse offers online reserved seating in all auditoriums so you can avoid lines at the theater and always choose your favorite seat.
Alamo Drafthouse provides Closed Captioning services for the majority of its regular movie screenings. However, some special events utilize film formats - like 35mm - that often do not allow for caption services.
