Hollywood Improv is a landmark stand-up comedy club on Melrose Avenue known for nightly showcases and surprise drop-ins, with a full restaurant/bar, a main showroom, and a smaller Lab room. Opened in 1974 at 8162 Melrose in the former Ash Grove space, it helped launch countless careers and served as the setting for the TV series “An Evening at the Improv.” Set along the busy Melrose corridor, it’s walkable to numerous restaurants and bars.
