A great place to see events in Southern California. Santa Monica Playhouse, founded in 1960 is the oldest continuously operating theatre in LA. It offers exciting theatrical productions, Family Theatre musicals, theatre workshops and educational programming locally, nationally and internationally. A 501(c) (3) not-for-profit professional intimate theatre and educational conservatory concentrating its efforts in three areas: the creation of superior and exciting theatre, the maintenance of an educational conservatory program, and the sharing of the magic of live theatre through community outreach in theatrical and educational settings.

Parking

City parking is available in municipal garages on 4th St; Municipal Parking Structure 1 (1234 4th St) is directly across the street from the Playhouse. No dedicated on-site lot.

Public transit

A short walk to the Metro E Line’s Downtown Santa Monica Station at 4th & Colorado; also served by LA Metro Bus and Santa Monica Big Blue Bus stops near Wilshire & 4th.
